Introduction

PersonaTie ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information PersonaTie does and does not collect when you use our mobile application.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require an account.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, or any other identifying information.
• We do not collect your universes, characters, relationships, events, notes, or any other content you create in the app.
• We do not collect your device location.
• We do not collect your contacts, photos, calendar, or any other on-device data.
• We do not include any third-party advertising SDKs or trackers.
• We do not collect crash reports or analytics by default.

Where Your Data Lives

All your data — universes, characters, relationships, events, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:

• Use the AI Studio feature (see below)
• Export your data as JSON (you control where it goes)
• Enable iCloud sync (a future feature; will use Apple's CloudKit and remain within your private iCloud account)

AI Studio and Third-Party AI Providers

The AI Studio feature is opt-in. To use it, you must provide your own Google Gemini API key in Settings.

When you use AI Studio:

• Only your prompt text (the era, work, or character context you ask about) is sent to Google Gemini.
• Your underlying universe data is not transmitted.
• The request goes directly from your device to Google's Gemini API using your API key. It does not pass through any server we operate.
• Google's handling of your prompt is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Terms.
• We do not log, store, or have access to any prompts you send.

Information You Voluntarily Share

If you email us at support@personatie.app, we will receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Children's Privacy

PersonaTie does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information at all, COPPA does not apply.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect or store your data, we have no data retention practices to disclose. All your content lives on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all local data.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no data for you to request, correct, or delete from us. Your data is, and always has been, entirely under your control on your device.

Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this policy in the future, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users via an in-app notice.
