Terms of Use

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using PersonaTie ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms.

Accounts

No sign-in is required to use the App. When you first use the AI Scribe or make a purchase, the App creates an anonymous account on our servers to hold your ink balance and purchases. You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google to attach a display name and profile. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in provider secure.

Your Content

All universes, characters, relationships, events, and other content you create in the App belong to you. PersonaTie does not claim any ownership over your content and does not publish it. Your graphs are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud database; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Free Tier, Subscription, and Ink

• Free tier. Up to 3 graphs and a one-time trial of 500,000 ink of AI credit per account.
• PersonaTie Pro (风雅版). An auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through the App Store, that unlocks unlimited graphs and 2,500,000 ink per month. The monthly ink allowance resets on the first day of each month and unused allowance does not carry over. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. When a subscription ends, the App returns to the free tier; existing graphs beyond the free limit remain readable and editable but new graphs cannot be created until you are under the limit or resubscribe.
• Ink top-ups. Consumable purchases of 2,000,000 or 7,000,000 ink. Purchased ink never expires and is spent after the monthly allowance is used. Ink has no cash value, is not transferable between accounts, and is not refundable except as required by law or by Apple's refund policies.
• How ink is charged. Ink is deducted per AI request based on the actual model usage and cost of that request. Requests that fail are not charged. The amount of ink a given task uses depends on the length of text processed and the model used, and may change as models change.
• Restoring purchases. Use "Restore Purchases" in the App to reattach purchases made with the same Apple ID.

AI Scribe

The AI Scribe generates suggestions using Google Gemini models relayed through our servers. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fictional even when it concerns real historical people. You are solely responsible for reviewing, accepting, or rejecting suggestions and for any use you make of them. We may change models, limits, or the ink cost of requests at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use the App to create content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights, including unauthorized adaptations of copyrighted works.
• Use the App to create or distribute defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content about real persons.
• Use the AI Scribe to generate content that violates Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, or attempt to circumvent ink metering or obtain trial ink repeatedly.

Use of Classical Works

References in the App to classical literary works (such as Water Margin, Dream of the Red Chamber, Romance of the Three Kingdoms) are descriptive uses of public-domain titles for the purpose of helping you organize your reading and research. PersonaTie does not include the full text of, or distribute, any copyrighted edition of any work. Books you import yourself must be ones you are entitled to use.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining ink.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App or the AI Scribe will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any data you create will be preserved. iCloud storage is provided by Apple under Apple's terms. We recommend exporting your graphs periodically using the export feature in the App.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of use, or loss of profits arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
