Terms of Use

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using PersonaTie ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms.

Your Content

All universes, characters, relationships, events, and other content you create in the App belong to you. PersonaTie does not claim any ownership over your content. Because we do not collect or store your data, we also do not display, distribute, or otherwise process your content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use the App to create content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights, including unauthorized adaptations of copyrighted works.
• Use the App to create or distribute defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content about real persons.
• Use the AI Studio feature to generate content that violates Google Gemini's usage policies.

Use of Classical Works

References in the App to classical literary works (such as Water Margin, Dream of the Red Chamber, Romance of the Three Kingdoms) are descriptive uses of public-domain titles for the purpose of helping you organize your reading and research. PersonaTie does not include the full text of, or distribute, any copyrighted edition of any work.

AI Studio

The AI Studio feature requires you to provide your own Google Gemini API key. Your use of Gemini is governed by Google's Gemini API Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated suggestions. You remain solely responsible for evaluating and accepting or rejecting AI suggestions.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any data you create will be preserved. We strongly recommend you use the JSON export feature to back up your data periodically.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of use, or loss of profits arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
